Festival opens at 10am on Saturday, July 28, 2018 and closes at 5pm.
NW SolarFest is the Northwest’s premier renewable energy festival: a one-day family friendly-festival which combines an emphasis on renewable energy sources and sustainable living, and includes a diverse program with music. This innovative combination of energy education and presentations attracts a wide and varied audience.
Although the festival does not open until 10:00am on Saturday, July 27nd, ALL food vendors must set up on Saturday the 27nd by 9am. All vendors must be ready to be INSPECTED by the Washington HEALTH INSPECTOR on the morning of Saturday, July 27nd.
Spaces are limited to create diversity and provide a successful market for all vendors. All applications are subject to a jury process. Application deadline is June 15, 2019. Food vendors can also take advantage of our sponsorship opportunities. Food Vendor Application fees will be deducted from sponsor fees as applicable. Applicants will be notified of their acceptance or denial by June 1, 2018. Acceptance will be by email. Denial will be by mail with the return of your application fee.
Eligibility: All Washington State licensed food vendors are eligible to apply. Food vendor fees must be paid in full with this application. Food Vendors must submit a complete menu with prices with their application. Vendor Cancellation requires 45 day notice and 20% cancellation fee will apply – less than 45 days, there is no refund.
Hold Harmless: Applicant agrees to protect, indemnify and hold harmless the Shoreline Solar Project and Shoreline Community College, their officers, employees, supervisors and representatives from any and all losses, liabilities, damages, injuries or rights of action directly or indirectly growing out of the use of the premises covered by this contract.
Licenses, Permits, Taxes: In order to participate in the NW SolarFest, applicants are required to have a Washington State Unified Business Identification Number (UBI #). A current City of Shoreline Business License may be required. Retail Sales Tax and Business and Occupation Tax are the sole responsibility of the applicant.
Permits: All vendors are responsible for acquiring their own health department permits and food handlers permits.
Insurance: Certificate of Insurance naming Shoreline Solar Project and Shoreline Community College as additional insured(s) is required for all food vendors. Minimum coverage of $1,000,000 for the dates of July 27, 2019 and must accompany this application.
Vendors are responsible for their own tables, tents, or shading equipment.
Each food vendor must provide their own hand-washing stations.
No soliciting outside the confines of your assigned vendor space.
No subcontracting permitted.
No dogs or animals of any kind but working guide dogs are allowed.
No Glass on the premises outside your cooking area.
Smoking is permitted in designated smoking area only. Smoking is not allowed in food areas including vendor booth.
Important to Note: No vehicles will be allowed entrance or exit to or from the festival grounds after 9am on Saturday. Please understand that these rules apply to everyone and they have been put in place for the safety of all. No exceptions!
Working towards a Zero Waste Event
- Compostable or recyclable Serving Products are required.
- Food Vendors must compost food scraps(compost containers will be provided by Recology)
NW SolarFest Sponsorship All food vendors are invited to become NW SolarFest Sponsors. If you choose to become a sponsor your food vendor application fee will be deducted from your sponsor fee.
